December 12, 2000 - KOA Speer Electronics has added the new KQ0402 surface mount inductor to its KQ line of open core, wire wound, chip inductors. The KQ series is designed with a high Q factor and high self-resonant frequency ideal for high frequency applications. The flat top design offers excellent mountability, solderability and reliability.
The 1.1 x 0.5 mm KQ0402 is suitable for high speed pick and place components and automatic machine insertion. The KQ series offers tolerance's of ±2%, ±5%, ±10% and ±20% with a nominal range of 1.8nH ~ 10.µH. The quality factor range is 16 ~ 65 with a self-resonant frequency range of 90 ~ 6000MHz. KQ series inductors are suitable for reflow soldering.
The KQ series are available in sizes 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1008. These inductors are ideal for use in telecommunications equipment, mobile telephone components and other wireless equipment applications.
