Clock Terminator Networks Eliminate Signal Reflections

Bradford, PA – July 9, 2001 – A line of specialized clock terminator networks for use in applications involving high frequency clock signals is now available from KOA Speer Electronics. In sophisticated applications, detrimental problems such as signal undershoot, overshoot and reflections can lead to timing and signal degradation. The KOA clock terminator networks are designed to resolve these issues.

The CTA and CTX series incorporate features of EMI/RFI attenuation with reduced board space and precision characteristics. Both CTA and CTX have a resistance range of 10 Ohms to 1 Megaohm and capacitance range of 10pF to 220pF. Standard resistance tolerances are ±5% and ±2%, with a capacitance tolerance of ±20%. Clock terminators are utilized in low pass filter, clock termination and EMI/RFI attenuation applications.

KOA integrated passive components feature thin film, silicon-based, multi-element construction through the combination of resistors, resistor-capacitors or active-passive components. These integrated products offer significant performance, space and cost advantages over traditional technologies.
