Three Termination Capacitor Offers Excellent Attenuation at High Frequency

Bradford, PA - July 23, 2001 - KOA Speer Electronics introduces a new three termination capacitor ideal for noise filter applications in DC power lines. The low ESL (Equivalent Shunt Inductance) of the KGM series allows it to perform large attenuation at high frequencies. KOA Speer KGM capacitors offer small size and a high rated DC current. Plated terminals provide excellent solder resistance.

This new capacitor is available in sizes 0805, 1206 and 1812 in single layer or mutlilayer designs. Voltages include 25V, 35V and 50V in currents of 2A or 4A dependent upon the size selected. The capacitance range is 22pf ~ 0.1µF. The KGM series is suitable for both wave and reflow soldering, and is packaged in 7" embossed taping.

KOA Speer capacitors are utilized in telecommunication, computer, consumer electronic, industrial and automotive industries. KGM series capacitors are used for noise reduction in high frequency circuits for OA and FA equipment, DC power line (0805-2A and 1206-2A are available for signal line and power line) and Vcc line for gate array or microcomputer applications.
