Bradford, PA - May 3, 2002 - A new line of surface mount metal oxide varistors is now available from KOA Speer Electronics. These NV73 series varistors protect electronic components against static electricity, switching and incoming surges, making them ideal for a variety of electronic equipment applications. KOA Speer NV73 varistors feature a large withstanding surge capability and symmetrical V-1 characteristics that make surge absorption possible in either direction.
NV73 series metal oxide varistors are available in sizes 0603, 0805 and 1206. Varistor voltages range from 4.2V - 56V with maximum peak current (@ 8/20ms) of 30A, 10A - 50A and 30A - 70A depending on the size and style of selected component. The chip type design of the NV73 series is suitable for surface mount placement with automated assembly machines. Plastic tape and reel packaging is available.
