Bradford, PA – October 4, 2002
– KOA Speer Electronics introduces its new line of current sensing
surface mount resistors constructed of metal alloy. These components offer
resistance to heat and corrosion with superior mechanical strength as
compared to other current sensing resistors. The TLR series chip-type
metal plate resistors are ideal for use in a number of applications that
demand a more durable, pulse-resistant component including current sensing
and voltage dividers. TLR series resistors are also untrimmed, providing
low inductance and high frequency capabilities. Ultra low resistances
(1mΩ to 4MΩ) are available |

KOA Speer TLR series resistors offer standard tolerances of ±1% and ±5% and a power rating of 1.0W up to 70ºC, with derated power at higher temperatures dependent upon the chosen resistance value. The maximum T.C.R for this series is ±150 or ±200ppm/ºC. TLR series resistors will withstand operating temperatures of -65ºC - +170ºC and are suitable for flow or reflow soldering. Embossed plastic packaging is available. KOA Speer Electronics is a QS 9000, ISO 9002 certified company that has been serving the electronics industry since 1980. An affiliate of KOA Corporation of Japan, KOA Speer is a leading supplier of surface mount products including resistors, circuit protection components, inductors, capacitors and EMI/EMC filtering components. Leaded products including resistors, capacitors and networks are also available. KOA Speer products are distributed primarily to the North American market for applications including automotive, telecommunications, computer and instrumentation. For more information, contact
