In fact, each product group within our offering of resistors, capacitors, inductors, integrated components and leaded resistors fulfills certain applications within these markets. The following market analysis highlights some of the new, unique or emerging applications of our products.

Computers

KOA Speer surface mount components have played an integral role in assisting the evolution of the computer. We are continually developing smaller packages yielding higher performance to meet OEM demands for rapid product improvement. Our chip arrays and integrated passive components are helping facilitate both size reduction and higher clock speeds.

Telecommunications

Telecommunications PhotoThe tremendous growth and innovation within this market has relied on suppliers such as KOA Speer to help make product designs a reality. We offer new inductor models to handle ever increasing high frequency applications and capacitors with low ESR's to help conserve battery life. Our new smaller sizes of resistors and integrated components help meet product downsizing requirements while increasing functionality.

Automotive

Telecommunications PhotoKOA Corporation is proud to be QS 9000 certified. This quality assurance system is far more stringent than the more publicized ISO guidelines and was developed by the big three automotive companies: Chrysler, Ford and General Motors. We produce a number of components designed to withstand the high temperatures and severe environmental conditions required by the automotive industry. These products include our new SL1 and SL2 power resistors and many of our leaded components.

Industrial Controls

Consumer PhotoSince our very inception, KOA Speer has been supplying products used to control and monitor a wide variety of industrial products and systems. We continue to focus on this market and invest in quality systems for many of our traditional leaded products. Our RDS and RSS leaded resistors are designed to withstand the high voltage and high power consumption common within this market segment.
